Become part of a dynamic and growing team within the Global Risk and Compliance Technology organization at American Express. The successful candidate will be part of an organization responsible for reshaping our Company's Integrated Risk Management program. We are crafting scalable and efficient solutions across the Compliance & Risk domains with hands on configuring in the Service Now platform as well as modern technology to offer the best solution to support the business needs. You will bring your Service Now IRM experience to develop and implement business partner strategies. You will be a critical member in this hands-on role responsible for ensuring the platform is stable, secure, and operating efficiently. The administrator will support IRM modules while also managing core ServiceNow administrative functions, upgrades, and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Platform Administration:

  • Manage

    users, groups, roles, ACLs, and permissions

    .
  • Work with the vendor to monitor platform performance
  • Maintain scheduled jobs and resolve issues as needed

IRM Module Support:

  • Configure workflows, forms, notifications, and assessments in IRM.
  • Update and maintain data taxonomies and libraries as needed.

Development & Problem Solving:

  • Create and update

    UI policies, client scripts, business rules, and flow designer workflows

    .
  • Debug issues and implement fixes across IRM and core ServiceNow modules.
  • Support integrations with external systems (e.g., GRC tools, vendor platforms).

Upgrades & Enhancements:

  • Plan, test, and implement

    ServiceNow platform upgrades and IRM module releases

    .
  • Ensure customizations remain functional post-upgrade.
  • Apply patches and hotfixes as needed.

End-User Support:

  • Provide day-to-day user support and resolve tickets related to ServiceNow IRM.
  • Maintain documentation, knowledge articles, and configuration guides.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+years of Service Now Experience including 2–4 years of hands-on ServiceNow administration experience.
  • Solid experience with

    IRM/GRC modules

    (Policy & Compliance, Risk, and/or Audit)
  • Proficiency in

    JavaScript, Glide scripting, Flow Designer, and ServiceNow Studio

    .
  • Experience with

    ServiceNow upgrades, instance cloning, and system maintenance

    .
  • Familiarity with ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem) and their integration with IRM
  • Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives
  • Ability to facilitate collaboration with multi-functional teams to support changes and implementations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
  • Ability to provide mentorship and technology leadership to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Compliance and Risk business domain knowledge (Compliance, Operational/ Enterprise Risk, Privacy, and/or Ops Resiliency)
