Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify and generate new business leads in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana (Ambala, Yamunanagar, Karnal, and surrounding regions).
  • Build a strong pipeline of B2B prospects in manufacturing, automotive, heavy engineering, and foundry industries.
  • Research industry trends and decision-makers to target the right accounts.

2. Customer Engagement & Field Visits

  • Conduct regular customer visits (extensive touring required).
  • Build strong relationships with design engineers, production heads, purchase teams, and senior management.
  • Understand customer processes, pain points, and requirements for design, prototyping, and manufacturing.

3. Solution Presentation & Demonstrations

  • Deliver first-level demos of:
  • ▪ Engineering Design Software (CAD/CAE/Simulation)
  • ▪ 3D Scanners (reverse engineering & inspection)
  • ▪ 3D Printers (prototyping & small batch production)
  • ▪ Simulation Services (casting, forging, gearbox design)
  • Explain value proposition and ROI to customers.
  • Collaborate with technical engineers for advanced demos.

4. Sales Process Management

  • Qualify leads and map requirements to solutions.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial offers.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals with the sales manager.
  • Track opportunities using CRM tools and report forecasts.

5. Territory Development & Market Intelligence

  • Expand company presence in North India.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and positioning.
  • Share feedback on customer needs, trends, and new opportunities.

6. Post-Sales Coordination

  • Ensure smooth project handover to technical teams.
  • Follow up for customer satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Build long-term partnerships through consistent engagement.

7. Reporting & Target Achievement

  • Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets.
  • Maintain visit reports, customer interaction notes, and trackers.
  • Report progress and challenges to management.
🎓

Candidate Profile

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering (preferred).
  • 3–6 years of sales experience in engineering design software, industrial consumables, or capital equipment.
  • Awareness of gearbox design, casting, and forging processes.
  • Proven experience in North Indian territories (Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness for extensive travel across assigned regions.

Compensation

  • Fixed Salary + Performance-Based Variable Component (linked to closures).
