Job Description

We’re Hiring – Sales Engineer (Design & Simulation Solutions)

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify and generate new business leads in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Haryana (Ambala, Yamunanagar, Karnal, etc.)
  • Build a strong pipeline of B2B prospects in manufacturing, automotive, heavy engineering, and foundry industries
  • Research clients, decision-makers, and industry trends to target key accounts

2. Customer Engagement & Field Visits

  • Conduct regular customer visits (extensive touring required)
  • Build strong relationships with design engineers, production heads, and senior management
  • Understand customer processes, pain points, and requirements

3. Solution Presentation & Demonstrations

  • Deliver first-level demos of:
  • ▪ Engineering Design Software (CAD/CAE/Simulation)
  • ▪ 3D Scanners (reverse engineering & inspection)
  • ▪ 3D Printers (prototyping & small batch production)
  • ▪ Simulation Services (casting, forging, gearbox design)
  • Explain value proposition and ROI to customers
  • Collaborate with technical engineers for advanced demos

4. Sales Process Management

  • Qualify leads and map requirements to solutions
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial offers
  • Negotiate and close deals in coordination with the sales manager
  • Track opportunities using CRM tools and provide accurate forecasts

5. Territory Development & Market Intelligence

  • Expand presence in North India through awareness of design & simulation solutions
  • Monitor competitors’ pricing, activities, and positioning
  • Provide feedback on customer needs and new opportunities

6. Post-Sales Coordination

  • Ensure smooth handover to technical support teams
  • Follow up for customer satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities
  • Build long-term customer partnerships

7. Reporting & Target Achievement

  • Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets
  • Maintain visit reports, interaction notes, and trackers
  • Report progress and challenges to management
🎓

Candidate Profile

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering preferred (others with relevant sales experience may apply)
  • 3–6 years’ experience in sales of engineering design software, industrial consumables, or capital equipment
  • Awareness of gearbox design, casting, and forging processes
  • Proven experience in North Indian territories (Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Willingness for extensive touring across regions
💰

Compensation

  • Fixed Salary + Performance-Based Variable Component (linked to sales closures)
  • Additional allowances for travel and field visits
