Role Description

The Front Engineer Lead plays key role in the mobile development (iOS & Android), testing, release by partnering with front end lead, product, design, UX team and other partners. Responsible to deliver our mobile app and front-end application to thousands of customers through app stores efficiently with high quality, this role would be taking active role in software development life cycle, driving appropriate software design, paying attention to best practices of engineering and cross-functional collaboration. The right candidate for the role will be passionate about building & scaling exciting software products that delight customers, be a flag bearer of high standard for software engineering and would be key player in delivering mission critical products that would make a direct impact to revenue & profits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years working in fast paced mobile & web development team that involved active collaboration cross-functional digital teams and departments.
• 3+ years of experience working in ReactNative mobile development (iOS &
• Android both preferred) including design & architecture.
• Preferred knowledge in the auto industry (dealership, service, sales, etc.)
• Familiarity with collaborative and iterative software development workflow for mobile and web development.
• Strong experience in building customer facing mobile and/or web applications according to the high standard for design.
• Ability to write high-quality, self-documenting code using test-driven development
• techniques.
• Ability to partner with UX designers including giving and receiving feedback and suggesting tradeoffs when required.
• Strong knowledge and experience with best practices in software engineering including latest coding standards, CI/CD, unit testing, integration testing, security practices, design patterns and other industry standards.
• Sound knowledge of system API’s and backend integrations.
• Ability to work closely with backend developers to properly integrate with backend systems to build a scalable, customer facing, fault tolerant 3-tier application.
• Ability to challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions.
• Strong knowledge of cross-platform development including iOS and Android.
• Familiarity with testing and debugging processes, including unit testing and UI testing.
• Good interpersonal communication and collaboration skills effective to work in geographically distributed cross-functional team.
