Project Manager – Shallow Water Pipeline Project Job Title: Project Manager – Shallow Water Pipeline Project Reporting To: Executive Management / Business Head / Client Interface Location: Mumbai. Job Summary The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall execution, coordination, and performance of the shallow water pipeline project. This includes planning, client interfacing, stakeholder coordination, resource and cost management, and ensuring timely project delivery. The Project Manager will lead multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning scopes, and will ensure that project objectives are met in line with contract specifications, safety, quality, and budgetary requirements. The role requires strategic foresight, problem-solving acumen, cross-functional leadership, and proactive client and interface management. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Baseline Establishment: Lead preparation of the overall project baseline including schedule (L3/L4), cost control budget, cash flow and risk matrix. Ensure all construction, procurement and engineering deliverables are properly sequenced and agreed. Finalize Project Execution Plan including key milestones, constraints and resource deployment plan. Project Monitoring & Execution Oversight: Track physical and financial progress with respect to baseline and identify early warning indicators for delays. Ensure site teams are supported with timely decisions, inputs and resolutions of interfaces. Chair weekly progress review meetings internally and with client; manage MoM and action trackers. Contractual & Client Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact with the client for execution related discussions, claims, approvals, and formal communications. Lead management of contract obligations including variation orders, change management and EOTs. Maintain log of client communications, commitments and dispute resolutions. Cost Management & Reporting: Monitor actual vs budgeted cost across disciplines, trigger control measures in case of over-runs. Ensure monthly client invoicing and internal cost reports are compiled accurately and in time. Facilitate client certifications and payment follow-ups. Risk, Interface & Stakeholder Management: Identify, track and mitigate key risks to project scope, time, cost and safety. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC and safety to eliminate bottlenecks. Manage expectations of external stakeholders including statutory agencies and vendors. Leadership & Team Performance: Guide discipline leads and section heads toward goal alignment and accountability Resolve inter-team conflicts and ensure coordination across work fronts. Mentor high-potential team members and ensure role clarity. Required Background & Profile for the Role Graduate degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical or allied discipline). 20+ years of experience in multi-disciplinary EPC projects including offshore or marine pipeline works. Demonstrated track record of leading complex project execution as Project Manager or Senior Package Manager. Strong understanding of planning tools (Primavera/MSP), contract management and budgeting. Proven experience in client interfacing and handling contractual correspondence and claims. Exposure to offshore construction, marine logistics, and shallow water pipelaying methods is a strong advantage.
