Position Summary:
We are looking for a
Senior Associate, Product Management
to join the product team for practice management sustenance within athenaCollector in
Chennai.
Your job will involve working with scrum teams to sustain and improve initiatives within the scope of practice management. This includes the ability to prioritize, successfully lead the team using agile processes and regular scrum ceremonies.
The Team:
The Practice Management Zone owns a wide scope of initiatives that enable practice operational and revenue success. This includes practice user-facing workflows and core technical components for the creation and management of patient records, key pre-live and post-onboarding workflows such as enrollment, configuration, contract management, and revenue cycle reporting. We are a passionate group of product, engineering, UX, and analytics professionals driven to maximize revenue cycle efficiency and effectiveness for our customers.
The Opportunity:
This Senior Associate, Product Management role focuses on sustaining and improving the functionalities owned within practice management. This includes fixing issues arising from customer feedback, escalations, and internal reports, delivering high-value product enhancements, and ensuring engineering excellence goals are met. But enough about us; let’s talk about you. You are passionate about problem-solving and always take a customer-centric approach. You know how to work effectively with scrum team(s) and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver features. You can make tough trade-off decisions between scope and schedule while maintaining true focus on outcomes. You have demonstrated the ability to work as an agile PO with scrum team(s). Effective communication skills are important for success in this role.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as Product Owner for scrum team(s) covering the assigned product area, working cross-functionally to build a product that meets the expected outcomes and market needs
- Build, groom, and prioritize the backlog
- Define the outcomes for sprints and releases; create a release plan for the scrum teams
- Articulate crisp user requirements, user stories, and documentation
- Participate in scrum meetings i.e., daily stand-up, sprint planning, readouts, and retrospectives
- Work with both UX and Engineering to understand design or technology implications in solution ideas
- Communicate requirements and constraints and facilitate the team in brainstorming how to best satisfy customer and business needs
- Work with product leadership to recommend the best course of action to achieve intents
- Verify and provide feedback on requirements as delivered to ensure they are solving business problems
- Gain alignment from multiple stakeholders; recognise the need for alignment
- Understand product dependencies and negotiate trade-offs with the appropriate product managers
Typical Qualifications
- At least 6 to 8 years of overall experience, with 4 to 6 years in a Product Management role (within software product development preferred)
- Understanding of product management best practices, including agile development
- Understanding of the healthcare/health IT environment is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead through influence
- Demonstrated cross-functional and cross-geography collaboration skills
