Job Description

As a Procurement Engineer at Zydus, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and purchasing mechanical utility equipment to support the company's operations. Your responsibilities will include: - Procuring mechanical utility equipment such as Chillers, AHUs, pumps, compressors, boilers, water systems, HVAC systems, and related components. - Analyzing operational expenses for high energy consumption equipment. - Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand equipment requirements. - Ensuring the sourcing of high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective equipment. - Identifying and selecting reliable suppliers for mechanical utility equipment. - Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and reviewing performance regularly. - Negotiating prices, delivery schedules, and contract terms with vendors. - Developing equipment specifications in coordination with engineering and maintenance teams. - Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet operational needs. - Managing inventory levels and coordinating logistics for equipment transportation. - Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards. - Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities and monitoring contractual compliance. - Identifying opportunities to enhance procurement processes and efficiency. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. - Strong understanding of mechanical systems and utility operations. - Experience with SAP is preferable. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. - Familiarity with procurement regulations and compliance standards.
