Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer in this role, you will be responsible for equipment sizing, specification, material requisition, and analysis of various mechanical packages including Gas Compressors, vessels, tanks, GSU, GDU, N2 Gen, Hold up Compressors, Air Compressor and Dryers, Chillers, Pumps, Air Coolers, Heat Exchangers, and more. You will develop and implement detailed mechanical designs for equipment, piping, and systems while ensuring adherence to relevant codes and standards. Conducting thermal and mechanical modeling and testing of packages to meet design requirements will also be a key part of your responsibilities. - Perform stress analysis, finite element analysis, and other engineering calculations to ensure structural integrity of designs. - Prepare technical specifications and drawings for fabrication and construction. - Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in equipment lifecycle. - Drive the selection and qualification of critical suppliers, ensuring product alignment with design specifications. - Review and approve vendor proposals and drawings. - Provide technical support until Ready for Start-Up (RFSU) of the Package on site. - Assist in creating design verification and validation plans to meet regulatory requirements. - Act as a team lead and technical liaison with key suppliers. - Develop procedures for design, mechanical operations, and maintenance for safe and efficient operation. - Provide engineering and technical support to on-site teams for correct installation and operation. - Review engineering project data and deliverables for compliance with company and industry standards. - Provide input to proposals for estimation of materials take-offs (MTOs) and coordination with suppliers. - Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and equipment lists. - Familiarize with construction activities and be ready to visit sites to resolve construction-related problems. - Develop installation and maintenance procedures. - Thorough knowledge of International Standards like IEC, NEC, NFPA, BS, and other industry codes is a must. - Hands-on experience with FEA, Stress, and mechanical equipment sizing software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, and familiarity with CAD software like AutoCAD or Microstation. - Strong verbal and written skills in English are essential. - Experience with Iraq Projects would be a plus.,
