Additionally, you will be involved in feasibility studies, working closely with foundries to evaluate tooling, process capabilities, and materials, and utilizing casting simulation software to validate solidification, flow, and porosity. Moreover, you will drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for cost (DFC) principles, support supplier selection, tooling development, and pre-production builds, and analyze test and validation data to ensure product launch and continuous improvement. Collaborating with quality, purchasing, and operations teams, you will ensure that casting quality and performance goals are met while maintaining technical documentation, specifications, and design standards. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, along with experience in casting design, tooling, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CREO software, knowledge of casting simulation tools, and FEA software will be advantageous, and strong problem-solving skills are essential.
