Job Title: Senior Manager – Project (Sports League) Location: Gurugram Department: League Operations / Sports Management Reporting To: Director Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager – Project Head to lead the end-to-end execution and operations of a premier sports league. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple stakeholders, overseeing event planning, ensuring seamless logistics, and aligning league execution with commercial and branding objectives. The role requires close liaison with the League CEO, franchise teams, vendors, and internal departments to deliver a successful, high-impact league within budget and timelines. Key Responsibilities: Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between the League CEO, franchise owners, commercial partners, and other stakeholders. Maintain strong communication channels to ensure strategic alignment and timely decision-making. Coordinate with marketing, finance, legal, and communications teams to align league initiatives. Project & Event Execution: Oversee planning and execution of league events including opening ceremonies, matches, fan engagement zones, and closing functions. Ensure all activities are conducted within the client’s and league’s budgetary parameters without compromising quality. Logistics & Operations: Manage end-to-end logistics for league events including travel, accommodation, venue management, and equipment movement. Coordinate logistics for participating franchises and their teams to ensure a seamless experience. Vendor & Partner Coordination: Identify, appoint, and manage vendors (event agencies, travel partners, branding teams, etc.) ensuring deliverables are met as per SLAs. Negotiate vendor contracts and ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising on standards. Branding & Commercial Support: Work with the branding team to ensure on-ground branding aligns with league guidelines and sponsor deliverables. Support commercial teams with execution of sponsorship activations and integration into league events. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all league activities comply with relevant regulations and organizational policies. Provide timely reports, post-event evaluations, and insights to management and stakeholders. Key Requirements: Experience: 8–10 years in event management, sports operations, or large-format project management roles, preferably with experience in league or sports franchise environments. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business, or related field. MBA preferred.
