Job Title: Senior Manager – Quality Assurance Center of Excellence (QA CoE)

Location: Hyderabad, India

Reports To: Director – IT Office of CIO

Position Summary

The Senior Manager – QA CoE will lead the Quality Assurance Center of Excellence, driving critical initiatives to improve software quality, operational efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction across Micron’s IT landscape. This role is pivotal in crafting QA strategy, encouraging innovation (including GenAI integration), and ensuring scalable, high-impact delivery across portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Execution

• Define and implement the QA CoE strategy aligned with IT and business goals.
• Lead transformation initiatives such as GenAI adoption in QA, automation modernization, and shift-left testing.
• Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, customer feedback, and performance metrics.

Operational Excellence

• Lead all aspects of QA delivery across multiple portfolios across various IT organizations.
• Ensure timely and high-quality support for releases, regression testing, and defect prevention.
• Establish and supervise critical metrics such as test case automation volume, time savings, and defect leakage.

People & Culture

• Lead a diverse team of QA engineers and contractors.
• Foster a culture of recognition, career growth, and cross-pollination.
• Champion diversity in hiring and leadership development.

Innovation & Capability Building

• Drive the development of AI-powered QA tools and automation frameworks.
• Promote upskilling and cross skilling within the team.
• Lead initiatives in testing, stakeholder engagement, and service expansion.

Governance & Communication

• Collaborate with IT leadership to align QA priorities with enterprise goals.
• Represent QA CoE in strategic forums and delivery reviews.
• Ensure open communication of plans, risks, and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in leading QA transformation initiatives, including automation and AI integration.
• Deep understanding of application landscape across Enterprise Application, Manufacturing and Infrastructure & Security domain will be a strong advantage.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and team-building skills.
