Job Description

Basic Function – Preparation & review of annual planning process & monitoring timely completion. Preparation and review of monthly operating reviews, business commentary, CFO presentations. Essential Functions
  • Knowledge of end-to-end AP close cycle.
  • Invoice processing, Journal Entries.
  • Vendor master management, Vendor Reconciliation, Raising PO. Primary Internal Interactions Manager/ Assistant Manager for the purpose of reporting performance, escalation handling, clarifying concerns, and seeking feedback and support Manager for the purpose of settling issues left unresolved by the Assistant Manager and monthly evaluation of performance Peers (team members) for the purpose of seeking co-operation & clarification on process-related matters & providing assistance and support when required Primary External Interactions Onshore Team Manager and SMEs for daily planning of work and execution of deliverables Must demonstrate effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills Strong time management and organization skills Organizational Relationships Reports To : Senior Manager / AVP Supervises : 6 – 10 members Skills Technical Skills Chartered Accountant, CPA, CFA or equivalent with 6
  • 9 years’ experience in US GAAP / IFRS accounting experience B.Com with strong practical experience in Accounting and reporting for more than 10-12 years Process Specific Skills Should have expert level understanding of GAAP accounting principles and procedures. Requires the knowledge and ability to review Journals, reconciliations provide solutions to technical accounting issues and organize projects Insurance accounting regulatory reporting experience or US GAAP/IFRS knowledge mandatory. Strong knowledge of Group Consolidation accounting and financials Ability to understand the significance of various activities in a statutory/GAAP accounting close cycle and deliver results accordingly. Soft skills (Desired) Must demonstrate effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills Strong time management and organization skills Effective people management skills Soft Skills (Minimum) Self-disciplined and result oriented Ability to multi task Ability to work effectively as part of a team Commitment and drive for results Strong analytical skills Ability to understand and question established process guidelines in order to bring about possible process improvements Ability to pay great attention to detail – especially during processing of transactions Education Requirements Chartered Accountant, CPA, CFA or equivalent with 6
  • 9 years’ experience. B.Com with strong practical experience in reporting for more than 10
  • 12 years Work Experience Requirements 6
  • 9 years of experience in technical accounting or reporting area preferably with an insurance company. 3+ years of supervisory experience in the field of Insurance/Reinsurance accounting for SM 2+ years of supervisory experience in the field of Insurance/Reinsurance accounting for Manager Should have good understanding of GAAP accounting principles and procedures.
