Senior Hardware Design Engineer


In this role, you will architect, design, validate, and optimize complex digital hardware systems that shape the next generation of spatial computing experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to build world-class electronics that power our upcoming smart glasses and immersive devices.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:


  • Design & Architect Hardware Systems

Develop digital electronic circuits involving high-speed interfaces, microprocessor-based architectures, scalable boards, and modular hardware blocks.


  • Signal, Power & System Integrity Ownership

Define and analyse SI/PI/Thermal/Load parameters for SoCs and high-speed designs. Review and refine design decisions to ensure robust performance.


  • Hands-on Design, Bring-up & Debug

Create schematics, guide PCB layouts, execute board bring-up, debug hardware issues, and collaborate with firmware teams for system-level validation.


Minimum Work Experience Required:


  • 8+ years

    of experience in digital electronics hardware design.
  • Proven expertise in

    Qualcomm / NXP / TI

    processor-based architectures.
  • Prior experience designing boards that comply with

    EMI/EMC certification requirements

    .


Top 5 Skills You Should Possess:


  • Strong fundamentals in

    Analog, Digital, and Power Electronics

    .
  • Deep understanding of high-speed interfaces —

    DDR4, MIPI CSI/DSI, USB 3.0, Type-C Alt Mode

    , etc.
  • Proficiency with schematic and PCB tools —

    Cadence OrCAD Capture, Allegro PCB Designer

    .
  • Expertise in SI/PI analysis and power management for SoCs.
  • Experience with test equipment — oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and soldering small components.


Full-Stack Hardware Awareness:


  • Experience in

    mixed-signal circuit design

    and collaborative hardware workflows.
  • Practical exposure to

    transmission line design

    , power system architecture, static power systems and firmware-driven hardware interfaces.
  • Ability to evaluate, select, and work with electronics vendors.
  • Hands-on experience in board bring-up, debugging, sensor integrations, and ASIC/SoC design understanding.


Bonus Points For:


  • Working knowledge of

    Cadence Sigrity

    , PSpice, LTSpice, and simulation toolboxes.
  • Experience with

    Altium Designer

    workflow.
  • Prior involvement in

    thermal analysis

    , load planning, or high-density, multi-layer PCB designs.
