About the Position: Junior Hardware Design Engineer Statcon Electronics India Limited is seeking a motivated Hardware Design Engineer to join our Design & Development Department for advanced power electronics systems. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of hands-on experience in hardware design for power electronics applications. This role offers exposure to high-performance product development in DC-DC converters, UPS, chargers, and renewable energy systems, while working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the hardware design and development of power electronics systems such as DC-DC converters, UPS, battery chargers, and resonant converters. Contribute to the design and analysis of SMPS topologies including Boost, Flyback, Half/Full Bridge, and Resonant. Support circuit simulation, validation, and performance testing using industry-standard tools. Collaborate with firmware, PCB design, and mechanical teams for system-level integration. Participate in magnetic design activities (transformers, inductors) under guidance of senior engineers. Support PCB layout review, ensuring considerations for EMC, thermal management, and electrical safety. Conduct debugging, testing, and documentation of hardware modules. Prepare design documentation, BOMs, and test reports in compliance with industry standards. Learn and contribute to continuous improvement in reliability, manufacturability, and efficiency of designs. Qualifications & Skills: B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or related field. 3–6 years of experience in hardware design of power electronics systems. Hands-on knowledge of analog and digital circuit design. Familiarity with simulation tools such as LTspice, PSpice, MATLAB/Simulink. Understanding of SMPS topologies, magnetic design basics, and embedded hardware requirements. Exposure to PCB design tools and review processes. Experience with lab testing equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, multimeters). Good communication skills, ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Skills: Experience in EMI/EMC design practices. Basic understanding of embedded software to collaborate with firmware teams. Awareness of product certification and regulatory compliance processes. Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn advanced concepts.
