Location:

Experience:

Employment Type:

About the Role:

Electronics Engineer with expertise in Coil Design

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that coil-based components meet electrical, thermal, and mechanical performance requirements for both prototype and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop

    electromagnetic coils

for applications such as transformers, inductors, wireless charging systems, motors, or sensing devices.
  • Perform

    electromagnetic simulations

    using tools like

Maxwell, COMSOL Multiphysics, Ansys RMxprt, or FEMM

    .
  • Select appropriate materials (core, wire, insulation) and optimize winding configurations for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Design PCBs and integrate coils into electronic circuits as per system requirements.
  • Conduct validation tests (impedance, inductance, Q-factor, temperature rise, etc.) and troubleshoot issues during development.
  • Collaborate with the mechanical and manufacturing teams to ensure compatibility with product housing and production processes.
  • Support EMC/EMI compliance by optimizing coil and PCB layout design.
  • Document design calculations, test results, and engineering change notices (ECNs).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

    Electronics, Electrical Engineering

    , or a related field.
  • Minimum

5 years of hands-on experience in coil design and development

    .
  • Strong understanding of

    electromagnetic theory

, inductance, magnetic materials, and transformer principles.
  • Experience in

    design and simulation tools

(e.g., ANSYS Maxwell, COMSOL, MATLAB, LTspice, etc.).
  • Proficiency in PCB design tools such as

    Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCAD

    .
  • Familiarity with

    testing equipment

    (LCR meters, oscilloscopes, thermal cameras).
  • Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., IEC, IS, UL) is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with

wireless charging systems, magnetic sensing, or motor coil winding design

    .
  • Understanding of

    thermal management and insulation systems

    in coil design.
  • Exposure to

    automotive, aerospace, or industrial

    is a plus.
