About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Lead – Space Systems to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex aerospace and space technology projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in space system design, integration, and program management, with a deep understanding of mission-critical aerospace engineering processes. This is a senior-level role that requires technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, vendor management, and direct engagement with customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end execution of space system projects including satellites, launch vehicle subsystems, payload integration, or related platforms.

• Work closely with engineering teams (mechanical, thermal, avionics, propulsion, structures) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project milestones.

• Manage project scope, budget, timelines, and resource planning using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Zoho).

• Ensure alignment with customer requirements, specifications, and applicable aerospace standards (e.g., ISRO, NASA, ECSS, MIL-STD).

• Act as a technical interface between internal teams, clients, vendors, and external agencies.

• Identify project risks, create mitigation plans, and conduct periodic risk reviews.

• Prepare and present technical and project status reports to senior management and clients.

• Support systems engineering, integration, and qualification testing activities.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements throughout the project Support validation for space qualification & validation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.

• 10+ years of experience in aerospace or space systems project engineering.

• Proven experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects in the space or defense sector.

• Solid understanding of spacecraft systems, mission planning, AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing), and qualification processes.

• Strong knowledge of aerospace program lifecycle – from concept to launch readiness.

• Familiarity with ISRO/NASA/ECSS standards, configuration control, and quality systems.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.

• Experience working with private space companies, ISRO contractors, or global space programs.

• Familiarity with New Space technologies and rapid development Experience with Space validation & qualification.
