Role Description

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead development across our platform. This isn't a "write code in both frontend and backend" role—it's a leadership position where you'll own major product initiatives end-to-end, make architecture decisions, mentor junior engineers, and be accountable for shipping complete features from database to UI.

You'll be one of the key technical voices on the team. When we're deciding how to build something, you'll be in the room. When something breaks in production, you'll lead the fix. When we hire new engineers, you'll help evaluate and onboard them.

What You'll Do

Lead Development

• Own major features and product areas end-to-end (backend + frontend + deployment)
• Make architecture decisions that balance speed, scale, and maintainability
• Break down complex projects into milestones and drive them to completion
• Be the go-to person for technical decisions in your areas of ownership

Build Across the Stack

• Design and build APIs, services, and data models on the backend
• Build responsive, performant UIs on the frontend
• Work on AI orchestration (coordinating multiple LLM providers, voice AI, real-time systems)
• Develop integrations with third-party platforms (ATS systems, calendar, email)
• Optimize performance across the stack—database queries to frontend bundle size

Mentor and Multiply

• Review code and provide constructive feedback to junior engineers and interns
• Help establish engineering standards, patterns, and best practices
• Unblock teammates when they're stuck on technical problems
• Share context and knowledge so the team isn't dependent on any one person

Collaborate Cross-Functionally

• Work directly with founders on product direction and technical feasibility
• Translate business requirements into technical plans
• Communicate trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Push back when something doesn't make sense—we want your judgment, not just execution

What We Are Looking For

Must Have:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in both frontend (React, Next.js, TypeScript) and backend (Python, Node.js, dotnet or java)
• Experience designing and building systems from scratch, not just maintaining existing ones
• Solid understanding of relational databases (MS SQL or PostgreSQL) and data modeling
• Experience with real-time systems or event-driven architecture
• Track record of owning and shipping complete features independently
• Ability to context-switch between frontend polish and backend complexity
• Strong debugging skills across the stack
• Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small teams
• Excellent communication skills—you can explain technical concepts to anyone
• Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity

Good to Have:

• Experience integrating with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)
• Familiarity with voice/video systems (WebRTC, LiveKit, speech-to-text)
• Experience with workflow automation or pipeline systems
• Knowledge of infrastructure and DevOps (Cloud, Docker, CI/CD)
• Previous startup experience, especially early-stage
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements
