Senior Frontend Engineer

We’re seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to take ownership of our customer-facing portal and drive the modernization of our frontend architecture. This role offers significant influence: you’ll evaluate frameworks, set the strategy, and deliver intuitive, scalable interfaces that security teams depend on.

This position calls for a strong grasp of both business objectives and engineering priorities, along with the skill to partner effectively with teammates to deliver on those goals. The right candidate will foster and demonstrate seamless collaboration across functions like systems engineering, development, customer experience, and product management to drive shared goals.

Strong communication skills and the capability to create clear, well-structured documentation for features and workflows are also critical to success in this role.

What You’ll Do

● Lead the modernization of our JavaScript/PHP-powered web applications systems into modern web frameworks for frontend (React, Angular, Vue, etc.) and backend (Express, Nest, Next, etc.)

● Architect and build real-time dashboards for threat intelligence, incident response, and analytics.

● Implement secure workflows: authentication, role-based access, and compliance-ready interfaces.

● Integrate seamlessly with backend microservices using REST APIs and optimize for performance at scale.

● Shape the frontend strategy that will grow with our platform and customer base.

What We’re Looking For

● 5+ years of front-end experience with modern front-end frameworks (Angular, Vue, Node.js, developing web applications, and architectural decision-making.

● Strong skills in JavaScript (ES6+), PHP, state management, and responsive UI design

● Experience with real-time data visualization (Highcharts, D3.js, or similar).

● Knowledge of security or data-intensive applications is a plus.(e.g. threat intelligence platforms, fintech/transaction systems, healthcare portals, large-scale analytics dashboards, or enterprise identity and access management solutions) 

● Leadership mindset: mentoring, code reviews, and guiding best practices.

 Awareness of accessibility best practices (e.g. keyboard navigation, high contrast dashboards, screen reader support) is a plus.

● Motivation to excel in an autonomous environment that values speed and empowers you to perform at your highest level.

● AI coding assistant proficiency (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, etc.) and a general interest in incorporating AI-driven solutions into engineering processes.

● Current Web Framework: CodeIgniter (PHP w/ Javascript, some Node.js)

● Modernized Web Frameworks: To be determined - you’ll drive the decision

● Microservices (REST APIs): Python

Databases: OpenSearch, MySQL, Redis 

Infrastructure: AWS (ECS, S3, EC2), Linux-based deployment
