Role Overview
Reporting to the Director, cost management, the Senior financial Analyst supports the wider Vendor Management team in ensuring value and quality delivery for Refinitiv/ LSEG for key strategic vendors and managed service providers through effective engagement and consistent processes.
The role is responsible for ensuring all Engineering (technology) vendors that are supported by the team, provide invoices regularly & accurately, and in line with agreed contracts and clauses thereof. The Senior Financial Analyst is accountable for the end to end billing process, including PO creation, budget management, reconciliation of all billable charges, dispute management, and timely payment of invoices along with associated reporting needs. This role will also comply updating all team trackers & any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the management from time to time
In addition to this, the Sr Financial Analyst is responsible for reporting financial metrics that measures the performance of Refinitiv/ LSEG's Engineering (technology) service providers against budget and SLA’s. This may involve use of emerging tools / technologies like Power BI, Advanced excel, SQL database etc. This person will also perform ad-hoc analysis where necessary, to review the consumption of deployed Technology assets, and seek cost saving opportunities where possible.
Key accountabilities

Assist in preparation of MSP annual budget and spend forecast

Raise, amend and receipting of purchase orders for Tech service providers

Verify all invoices ensuring charges are in line with relevant contract / WO & manage disputes

Detailed review of supporting data provided by the vendors in support of billing

Create summarized service reports from data provided by vendor for Refinitiv stakeholders

Run / obtain transactional reports to capture the booked costs & use the same to identify missing transactions / lines.

Track actuals vs forecasts to enable accurate run rate reporting & provide reporting on financial performance of the contracted services.

Lead on the financial update in monthly review calls / leadership forums

Develop / automate existing process / procedures to allow more time for analysis

Reporting to the Infrastructure & cloud team and key member of Technology Finance Team in providing in depth analysis of Tech costs & variability.

Proficient in formulating and interpreting Financial, MIS reports & other statements with a view to apprise management of the business operations and potential decision making

Reviewing the Commercials and finalizing the amendments with the Vendor through colleagues from VM team

Assist management in any ad-hoc reporting / presentation needs from time to time including creating data visuals using latest tools / technology

Be an effective team player by backing other members of the team when necessary
