Role Overview

The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Advisory & Transactions team to structure deals, underwrite assets, and build sophisticated investment models for domestic and cross-border transactions. This role requires deep financial acumen, strong analytical capabilities, and hands-on experience in designing investment vehicles and evaluating real estate opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

I. Financial Modelling & Underwriting

• Build detailed financial models for real estate investments across asset classes.
• Conduct sensitivity analysis, scenario planning, and risk-return modelling.
• Prepare valuation, IRR, MOIC, and cash flow models for various capital structures.

II. Deal Structuring & Transaction Support

• Work alongside the Advisory & Transactions team to structure investment vehicles (SPVs, LLPs, Trusts, AIFs, REITs, etc.).
• Design financial structures for both domestic and cross-border transactions.
• Support in negotiations by presenting robust financial justifications and deal structures.

III. Cross-Border Transactions

• Assist in evaluating offshore financial vehicles and cross-border capital inflows.
• Ensure compliance with RBI, SEBI, FEMA, MCA, and international financial regulations.
• Structure credit, equity, and debt products for international investors.

IV. Investor Reporting & Presentations

• Prepare investment decks, financial notes, and transaction briefs for investors.
• Deliver sharp financial insights to institutional investors, wealth advisors, and investment managers.
• Provide management with accurate reporting on portfolio performance and pipeline metrics.

V. Collaboration & Strategy

• Work hand-in-hand with Advisory & Transactions professionals to align financial models with investor appetite and project requirements.
• Support the development of innovative investment products and vehicles to raise funds across asset classes.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Advanced financial modelling skills (Excel, VBA, Python preferred).
• Strong knowledge of real estate underwriting, deal structuring, and capital stack modelling.
• Familiarity with AIFs, REITs, SPVs, LLPs, and other financial vehicles.
• Deep understanding of real estate, private equity, and capital markets.
• Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics.
• CFA Level II/III or prior experience as an Investment Banker (either of them is mandatory).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis / real estate private equity / investment banking.
• Proven track record in structuring large-scale transactions and managing cross-border financial frameworks.
