Senior Executive

Basic Function

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual book close activities.

• Assist in planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modelling.

• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in accounting and reporting deliverables.

Essential Functions

• Prepare journals, reconciliations, and related reports.

• Investigate discrepancies and support resolution of accounting issues.

• Assist in statutory/GAAP accounting close cycle activities.

• Exposure to insurance accounting, regulatory reporting, US GAAP, and IFRS preferred.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Primary Internal Interactions

• Assistant Manager/Sr. Executive/Manager – for reporting performance, escalation handling, and seeking guidance.

• Peers/Team Members – for collaboration, clarification on process-related matters, and providing assistance when required.

Primary External Interactions

• Onshore Team Manager/SMEs – for planning of work, understanding deliverables, and resolving open queries.

• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication while coordinating with global stakeholders.

Organizational Relationships

• Reports To: Assistant Manager / Manager

• Supervises: None

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• 
  B.Com/Postgraduate with 4–6 years’ relevant reporting experience.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures.

• Hands-on experience in preparing journals, reconciliations, and reports.

• Exposure to insurance accounting and regulatory reporting preferred.

Process-Specific Skills

• Ability to support end-to-end statutory/GAAP accounting close cycle.

• Good understanding of US GAAP/IFRS is an advantage.

• Problem-solving and analytical mindset to identify and resolve variances.

Education Requirements

• 
  B.Com / MBA/ M.Com / Semi qualified CA/ICWA- Inter with 4–6 years of practical experience in reporting.

Work Experience Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in technical accounting, reporting, or financial close activities, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.

• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and procedures.
