About the Role:

The Team: The Price Assessment Workflows Design team is part of the Price Assessment Workflows team, which in turn is part of the Strategy and Business Management group. This team is crucial in managing back-end workflows consisting of templates and business rules that enable S&P Global Energy to publish extensive data and content. The team also provides second-line support for workflow-related queries and real-time system troubleshooting. Global teams across India, the UK, the US, and Mexico work together to ensure nearly 24/5 operational coverage and lead the evolution of our price assessment process architecture.
Responsibilities and Impact: S&P Global Energy publishes over 20,000 daily price assessments and benchmarks, providing crucial, timely information that our global customers rely on for decision-making. A keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills are critical to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our data and processes.
Design and manage editorial data workflows and business rules using MS Excel, low code tools, bespoke platforms, in-house scripting language and Python.
Collaborate with other teams both in person and via our workflow tool throughout the project life cycle for successful delivery.
Responsible for maintaining comprehensive related documentation.
Provide support for template management, resolving issues to ensure seamless operations and implement preventive measures to ensure system reliability.
Provide onsite and remote support during bank holidays and unforeseen scenarios.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
Over 5 years of proficiency in MS Excel and scripting languages like Python.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with low code tools for managing editorial data workflows.
Strong skills in critical thinking, analysis, and both verbal and written communication.
Experience with Agile, Scrum, and LEAN methodologies.
Familiarity with source control tools like GitHub or Azure DevOps.
Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, and SQL databases.
Experience in Python and AWS Cloud services is advantageous.
