Management Level E Team information The team is responsible for delivering technology projects and changes to meet the Group’s strategic growth and development objectives. Projects and deliveries managed by the team are primarily infrastructure related e.g. server, network, EUC, datacentre, database, UC etc., but could include product and engineering components. Typical projects are technology and system migrations, SaaS implementations, datacentre migrations (on prem to AWS cloud), creation of test and production environments, product development, Information Security implementations, Regulatory changes, data migrations, business acquisitions & exits, and system integrations and upgrades. Role Summary We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Senior Delivery Manager to manage the delivery of robust and resilient technology solutions hosted on premise and in the cloud. The primary responsibility will be to personally manage infrastructure projects ranging in size, complexity and scope. Projects may incorporate a combination of business, application and infrastructure deliverables and the job holder could manage multiple elements. The job holder will be responsible for managing the delivery throughout the lifecycle, ensuring that all documentation is completed and gateway criteria met. The role will include scoping and planning projects, work streams and sprints, undertaking studies and providing input to bids and business cases. The role includes liaison with project stakeholders to ensure that requirements and deliverables are fully scoped, understood and approved by governance boards, estimated accurately, resources secured with delivery plans aligned, resulting in a successful and timely delivery. Projects will utilise resources globally across Product and Engineering division and may involve the use of 3rd party suppliers. Core Duties/Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of work, being either single or multiple projects throughout the project lifecycle. Adhere to project governance, ensuring gateway criteria is met. Successful delivery of all projects in accordance with requirements, within budget and on time. Manage deliverables and resources, ensuring timely and complete delivery by self, project team and 3rd parties. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, suppliers and Clients. Co-ordinate and contribute to the production of assessments, designs and estimates. Produce high-quality project documentation and controls, including management and delivery plans, reports, Agile boards, logs and service introduction material. Review and sign-off of project deliverables and documentation. Identify and actively manage risks, issues and dependencies. Ensure appropriate action is taken to overcome delays, challenges or cost over-runs. Chair project meetings and facilitate workshops. Co-ordinate and/or contribute to the design, development and specification of new/revised processes, documentation, training materials, etc, as required. Adhere to all Audit, Regulatory, Security and Compliance requirements. Skills, Capabilities And Attributes Proven track record of successful delivery of IT infrastructure projects, operating within Agile and Waterfall project frameworks for an enterprise organisation. Experience and working knowledge of MS Management Solutions and understanding of the following or similar would be beneficial: Enterprise data centres, AWS public cloud, on-prem to cloud DC migrations, virtualisation, storage, SQL and SharePoint databases, networks, ADFS, F5, Jira, ADO, Miro, Confluence, MS Project / Project Online. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate technology terminology in plain-English and in non-technical terms to colleagues and Clients. Knowledge, confidence and experience of working with technical engineering leads and subject matter experts to scope and plan solutions and delivery approaches. Sound grasp and understanding of IT terminology and technologies, confident in prioritising activities and challenging and /or supporting requirements, design and implementation decisions. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to positively influence and challenge supportively and effectively. Experience of leading complex deliveries using global teams and 3rd party suppliers. Effective time management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Ability to work calmly and methodically when under pressure. Experience of building and leading effective project delivery teams.
