About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist In this role, you will:
  • Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area
  • Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls
  • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
  • Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk
  • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Effectively raises/reports issues/concerns to the management to ensure corrective actions are in line
  • Knowledge of the operational risk framework and disciplines primarily in the banking industry and its related operations
  • Able to read and understand the policies, procedures, training and any relevant documents to identify the adequacy, gaps or red flags which indicate the effectiveness or noncompliance to the regulations
  • Identifies operational risk issues; advises management on risk ratings and evaluates ratings against established policy standards.
  • Assist in drafting corrective action plans and in managing change. Identifies training opportunities; provide input to the development of training materials and delivers training
  • Deliver effective and consistent execution of the Risk Management Framework to build Front Line Risk Mitigation capabilities and accountability, coordinating issue analysis, thematic reviews, control evaluation and remediation activities across businesses and functions to manage risk
  • Complete root cause analysis, identify risk, and develop remediation plans
  • Analyze and determine controls and MCR during the workshop
  • Strong collaboration and consulting experience across internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Document risk and control assessments in system of record during the workshop
  • Experience in evaluating the adequacy, effectiveness, creation and updating of program methodologies, policies, procedures, processes, and controls.
  • Showcase strong knowledge of Risk management framework, including risk identification, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance
  • Effectively collaborating with business partners in the first line-of-defense (Business Owner), second line of defense
Job Expectations:
  • Controls team will support RCSA & other programs in designing and execution of the policies. Leads implementation of initiatives with moderate to high risk.
  • The individual will be responsible for leading and delivering on the RCSA program (End-End Execution of RAU's) requirements from I&P. For this role, we are looking for a candidate with good understanding of risk management, operational risk and control evaluation methodologies with an ability to assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls for medium to high complex processes.
  • A successful candidate for this role will have the ability to operate independently, multi-task on operational and strategic activities, and to communicate effectively with executives both verbally and written.
