Role Overview
We’re looking for a
Senior Ad Strategist
to lead high-impact paid media campaigns across digital platforms. The role combines technical excellence, strategic ownership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive measurable growth for clients.
Key Responsibilities
First 30 Days – Strategic Onboarding & Alignment
- Gain in-depth understanding of the organization’s performance marketing frameworks, playbooks, and campaign systems.
- Learn how AI, automation, and analytics integrate into performance marketing.
- Collaborate with business and consulting teams to align on client goals and strategies.
- Audit existing campaigns to identify quick-win optimizations and performance gaps.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions for active and upcoming accounts.
Next 60 Days – Ownership & Execution
- Take full ownership of paid media execution across assigned client accounts.
- Plan, execute, and optimize campaigns across channels—primarily Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram), and additionally Google, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Implement advanced testing, segmentation, bid, and budget optimization strategies.
- Leverage automation and AI tools to improve performance and efficiency.
- Guide and mentor junior team members by reviewing their work and providing feedback.
Beyond 90 Days – Strategic Leadership & Innovation
- Lead full-funnel paid media strategies, aligning them with client business objectives.
- Develop scalable playbooks, tracking systems, and performance reporting frameworks.
- Collaborate with creative, analytics, and technology teams to launch data-driven initiatives.
- Contribute to thought leadership by introducing innovative testing ideas and frameworks.
- Play a key role in evolving the paid media function and mentoring future leaders.
Must-Have Skills
- Hands-on Paid Media Expertise: 3–6 years of deep, hands-on experience managing and scaling high-budget campaigns (especially Facebook/Meta Ads). Exposure to other channels like Google, TikTok, and LinkedIn is a plus.
- Analytical & Optimization Skills: Strong ability to interpret campaign data, identify insights, and make data-driven decisions to enhance performance.
- Technical Knowledge: Working understanding of tracking tools such as Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, and conversion APIs. Ability to troubleshoot tracking and attribution setups across platforms.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capable of translating technical performance insights for non-technical stakeholders and clients.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with marketing automation or AI-driven campaign management tools.
- Basic understanding of scripting/coding for automation or optimization.
- Engineering or technical educational background.
- Prior experience mentoring or leading junior paid media professionals.
Ideal Background
- 3–6 years in digital performance marketing within mid-sized agencies (100–700 employees).
- Proven experience managing complex, high-value client accounts.
- Exposure to fast-paced, high-accountability agency environments.
