Senior Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting operations of multiple companies, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and leading a team of accountants. This is an in-person role requiring strong leadership, multitasking, and technical accounting expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting operations across multiple companies/entities.
• Oversee and guide a team of junior accountants, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in work.
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank statements.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC filings, etc.
• Monitor and track all due dates (statutory payments, returns, audits, etc.) to ensure timely compliance.
• Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, and monthly/quarterly/yearly closings.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and other stakeholders as required.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls to improve processes.
• Support management with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation laws, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in handling multi-company accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software Tally, Google Sheets and MS Excel.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
