Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. You will play a crucial role in the financial health of our organization by analyzing financial data and providing insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
• General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and receipts; manage aging reports and collections.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns (local, state, and federal) and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws.
• Auditing: Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and assist with external audits as required.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts; analyze variances between actuals and budgets.
• Payroll Processing: (Optional/If applicable) Process payroll and ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions.
• Process Improvement: meaningful recommendations to improve financial procedures and internal controls.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACCA, or CMA certification is highly preferred (or currently pursuing).
• Experience: [X] years of proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹17,656.48 - ₹42,750.69 per month
