Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Academic Coordinator with a strong background in Science or Mathematics to lead and manage the academic operations of our institution. This role involves curriculum planning, teacher mentoring, academic strategy, and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across the Science and Mathematics departments.

Key Responsibilities: Academic Leadership

  • Develop and implement strategic academic plans for Science and Mathematics departments.
  • Coordinate curriculum development and ensure alignment with national/international standards (CBSE)
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional methods and learning materials.

Faculty Management

  • Guide, mentor, and support subject teachers in Science and Mathematics.
  • Conduct regular academic audits, classroom observations, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify training needs and organize professional development programs.

Curriculum & Assessment

  • Design and oversee assessments, examinations, and academic performance evaluations.
  • Analyze student data and initiate remedial actions and enrichment programs.
  • Ensure appropriate integration of technology and innovative pedagogies in STEM education.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Coordinate with parents, students, and teachers to resolve academic concerns.
  • Organize academic workshops, Olympiads, science fairs, and other enrichment activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure interdisciplinary learning.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies and education board guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or Mathematics. B.Ed/M.Ed is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of teaching experience with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory/academic coordination role.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design and assessment in Science/Math.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
