Job Description

The Salesforce Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem. This role will focus on technical development using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and integration technologies to extend Salesforce functionality beyond standard configurations. The Salesforce Engineer will work closely with business stakeholders, the Salesforce Administrator, and IT teams to deliver custom solutions that drive business value and enhance the overall Salesforce experience.

Responsiblities

Design, develop, and deploy custom applications and solutions within the Salesforce platform
Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable Apex code, Visualforce pages, and Lightning Web Components
Create and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or ETL tools
Implement complex business logic, workflows, and process automation using Apex triggers, flows, and Process Builder
Design and develop custom user interfaces to enhance the Salesforce experience
Ensure all solutions follow best practices for security, scalability, and performance
Create comprehensive test classes to achieve adequate code coverage for deployments
Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues
Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards
Support the migration of solutions across environments (sandbox to production)
Document technical design decisions, configurations, and custom code
Collaborate with the Salesforce Administrator to implement new features and functionality
Stay current with Salesforce releases and leverage new platform capabilities
Assist in evaluating third-party applications and their potential integration with Salesforce
Configuring and managing integrations with other systems

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
3+ years of experience in Salesforce development
Salesforce Platform Developer I certification
Strong proficiency in Apex programming, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components
Experience with SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce API integrations
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, etc.)
Familiarity with Salesforce deployment tools and release management
Understanding of Salesforce governor limits and optimization techniques
Experience with Salesforce DX and modern development practices

Preferred

Salesforce Platform Developer II certification
Additional Salesforce certifications (Application Architect, System Architect, etc.)
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce
Knowledge of data migration tools and techniques
Experience with middleware integration platforms (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc.)
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Experience with mobile development on the Salesforce platform
Understanding of Salesforce CPQ, Einstein Analytics, or other Salesforce products

Technical Skills

Apex programming (triggers, classes, batch jobs)
Lightning Web Components and Aura Components development
Visualforce page development
SOQL and SOSL query optimization
REST and SOAP API development and integration
JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Version control and source-driven development
Debugging and troubleshooting techniques
Test-driven development and writing test classes
Data modeling and database design
Experience with developer tools (VS Code, Illuminated Cloud, etc.)
