Job Description: Car Sales Team Leader

The Car Sales Team Leader is responsible for supervising and motivating the sales team to achieve monthly sales targets, enhance customer satisfaction, and ensure smooth showroom operations. This role focuses on team performance management, training, sales planning, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities1. Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, motivate, and guide a team of sales executives to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Monitor daily team activities, showroom discipline, and customer handling standards.
  • Conduct daily/weekly meetings to review performance and set sales strategies.
  • Assist sales staff in closing deals and resolving customer queries.

2. Sales & Target Achievement

  • Ensure the team meets monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (retail, corporate, used cars).
  • Review enquiries, follow-ups, test drives, and conversions.
  • Identify new business opportunities such as bulk/corporate sales.
  • Track pipeline customers and ensure timely follow-up by the team.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain high customer satisfaction levels through professional interaction.
  • Resolve escalated customer complaints quickly and effectively.
  • Ensure proper delivery process, documentation, and post-delivery follow-ups.

4. Training & Development

  • Conduct regular training for sales staff on product knowledge, CRM usage, sales pitch, and negotiation skills.
  • Identify performance gaps and provide coaching/mentoring.

5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
  • Maintain sales MIS, enquiry data, conversion ratios, and stock availability.
  • Coordinate with finance, insurance, accessories, and service teams for smooth operations.

6. Showroom Operations

  • Maintain a professional showroom environment.
  • Ensure proper display of vehicles, branding materials, and cleanliness.
  • Coordinate with marketing for events, test-drive camps, and promotions.

Required Skills & QualificationsEducation

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (MBA preferred).

Experience

  • 3–7 years of experience in automobile retail sales.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of team handling experience preferred.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership and team management ability.
  • Good negotiation and closing skills.
  • Knowledge of CRM tools and MS Office.
  • Customer-focused attitude.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Monthly retail/corporate sales achievement.
  • Conversion ratio (Enquiry → Booking → Delivery).
  • Customer satisfaction scores (CSI).
  • Team productivity and discipline.
  • Repeat and referral sales.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹14,117.34 - ₹25,000.00 per month
