Job Summary

The Sales Team Head is responsible for leading, guiding, and motivating the sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets. This role ensures smooth sales operations, team performance monitoring, customer satisfaction, and effective coordination with management.

Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead a team of Sales Executives, Sales Associates, and Telecallers.
  • Allocate daily/weekly targets to the sales team.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, training, and performance reviews.
  • Provide on-field/on-floor guidance and support to team members.

2. Sales Operations

  • Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Plan and implement sales strategies to increase footfall and conversions.
  • Monitor lead generation, follow-ups, test drives (if applicable), and closures.
  • Maintain healthy stock levels by coordinating with inventory and purchase teams.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Handle escalated customer queries and ensure quick resolution.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and handle VIP customers.
  • Build strong relationships with new and existing customers.

4. Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales performance reports.
  • Track team productivity, enquiry status, conversion ratios, and revenue.
  • Report competitor activities and market feedback to management.

5. Coordination & Compliance

  • Coordinate with marketing, service, finance, and admin departments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, sales processes, and documentation.
  • Support management in executing promotional activities and events.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Any degree (MBA preferred but not mandatory)
  • 3–7 years of experience in sales (automotive / retail / showroom / real estate / FMCG)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in leading a sales team
