The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the sales strategy and execution in the region, ensuring that our products reach the market effectively and efficiently. This role demands a visionary leader with a proven track record in sales management who can drive growth and enhance our market presence. The Leader Sales will collaborate closely with both the marketing and operations teams to align on goals and tactics that resonate with our target audience. In addition to managing a dedicated sales team, this role will involve critically analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies.Roles and

Responsibilities

  • Sales Performance & Revenue Growth
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for both B2B and B2C channels.
  • Drive year-on-year revenue growth across all product lines (Grohe and American Standard).
  • Improve market share in Sri Lanka and Maldives through aggressive business development.
  • Channel & Network Expansion
  • Expand and onboard new distributors, dealers, and retail partners across both countries.
  • Increase footprint of LIXIL products in untapped geographies.
  • Strengthening presence in project sales (real estate, hospitality, infrastructure).
  • Showroom & Retail Management
  • Oversee performance, visual merchandising, and brand representation in all LIXIL showrooms.
  • Ensure monthly footfall growth and conversion targets for key outlets.
  • Drive in-store promotions and consumer engagement programs.
  • Marketing & Brand Development
  • Plan and execute local marketing campaigns aligned with global brand guidelines.
  • Monitor and optimize digital, in-store, and ID/Developer activities to drive awareness and demand.
  • Coordinate with the Gurgaon head office marketing team for support and approvals.
  • Operations & Coordination
  • Ensure timely placement of orders with the factory and efficient supply chain coordination.
  • Liaise with the head office (Gurgaon) for inventory planning, product availability, and pricing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and stock management reporting.
  • Collections & Credit Control
  • Achieve collection targets and reduce outstanding receivables within stipulated timelines.
  • Enforce credit policies in coordination with finance teams and maintain healthy cash flow.
  • New Business Development
  • Identify and convert new project opportunities in commercial, hospitality,  residential, and government sectors.
  • Build relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, and institutional buyers.
  • Develop strategic alliances or partnerships to drive market penetration.
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting
  • Provide regular updates on competitor activities, pricing, product trends, and customer feedback.
  • Submit detailed business reports and performance reviews to regional leadership.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve corporate goals.
  • Manage and lead a team of sales professionals to maximize performance.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Sri Lankan market.
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Analyse sales performance data and prepare regular reports for management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales leadership within the building materials industry or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the Sri Lankan market dynamics and customer preferences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster client relationships.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to drive sales growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 -15 years of relevant experience
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and motivation.
