Job Description

Position: Sales Manager – Steel Industry

Key Responsibilities

Create and execute strategic sales plans to expand the client base and increase market share.
Manage, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers, distributors, and key accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Oversee sales activities, including lead generation, proposal preparation, negotiation, order closure, and execution.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to present to management.
Coordinate with production, logistics, and finance teams for smooth order execution and timely delivery.
Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing, and credit guidelines.
Represent the company brand at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales, ideally within the steel trading, fabrication, or manufacturing sectors.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and successfully managing sales teams.
Strong communication and negotiation skills in English and Tamil; Hindi proficiency is an advantage.
Ability to build strong dealer and distributor networks and penetrate new market segments.
Degree/MBA in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Proficiency in CRM tools, sales analytics, and business reporting.
