About the Role


We are hiring a Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and expand Craft My Plate’s catering business across B2B and B2C segments. You will be responsible for building a strong sales pipeline, managing client relationships, and leading a small team toward monthly and quarterly sales targets. This role requires someone with a go-getter attitude, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of fast-paced startup environments.


Responsibilities


Sales Growth & Pipeline Management

  • Own the complete sales lifecycle from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize a strong pipeline using CRM tools (HubSpot/Zoho).
  • Convert inbound inquiries and proactively drive outbound outreach to corporates, event planners, and high-volume clients.
  • Achieve monthly revenue, conversion, and retention targets.


Client Relationship Management

  • Understand client requirements and pitch relevant catering solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships to enable repeat business and upselling.
  • Ensure smooth handover to operations and customer service teams for flawless execution.
  • Resolve escalations professionally and quickly.


Team & Cross-Functional Management

  • Lead and mentor a small sales/telecalling team to improve productivity and closing rates.
  • Conduct weekly training sessions for objection handling, product demos, and follow-up best practices.
  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance to align sales goals with campaign performance and capacity planning.


Reporting & CRM Discipline


  • Maintain 100% data hygiene in CRM with accurate tracking of deals, follow-ups, and client interactions.
  • Analyze sales metrics: lead-to-close ratio, average order value, funnel velocity, and team productivity.
  • Share weekly sales performance updates and market insights with leadership.
  • Market Research & Strategy
  • Track competitor pricing, offerings, and market trends.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and high-potential segments.
  • Suggest new SKUs, pricing models, or packages to increase conversions.


Requirements


  • 5–6 years of overall experience, including 2–4 years in a startup (mandatory).
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in F&B, events, hospitality, or B2B services.
  • Strong team management and CRM management skills.
  • A commendable, go-getter attitude with the ability to thrive in fast-moving environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work with data, targets, and performance metrics.
  • Comfortable with weekday + occasional weekend/event-based work depending on client demands.
