Job Description

Job Title: Sales Engineer(Field)


We are seeking a skilled Sales Engineer with 2 years of experience to join our team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for technical sales, pre-sales consultation, account management, and business development. The candidate should be ready to join within 30 days.


Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Sales & Consultation (Pre-Sales)

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of customer applications to understand their specific needs.
  • Recommend suitable hand tools and tool storage solutions from the product portfolio.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver technical product demonstrations and presentations.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Engineering teams for customization.
  • Prepare accurate and compelling sales proposals and quotes.
  • Account Management & Business Development

  • Identify and prospect for new business opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and procurement teams.
  • Meet and exceed assigned sales and profitability targets.
  • Provide technical sales support and training to distributor sales forces.
  • Market & Product Expertise

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and customer tooling requirements.
  • Collect and relay market feedback to Product Management and R&D teams.
  • Provide training to the internal sales team and partners.
  • Post-Sales & Service

  • Act as a technical escalation point for post-sale issues.
  • Assist the service team with troubleshooting and warranty claims.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 1.5 - 2 years of experience in technical sales or a sales engineering role.
  • In-depth knowledge of hand tools and experience in related industries.
  • Strong understanding of tool materials, heat treatment, and industry standards.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a technical B2B environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.


Preferred Qualifications (A Plus)

  • Certification in a relevant area (e.g., Six Sigma, specific tooling applications).
  • Experience with a major hand tool or power tool brand.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
