Job Description

As General Manager of Production, you'll lead all manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production, high quality, and timely delivery while optimizing resources, managing costs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demands and company goals. Set and enforce quality standards and implement quality control programs. Optimize resource utilization, including equipment, facilities, and personnel. Manage production costs and budgets. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing. Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished goods. Manage inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials. Monitor production performance and identify areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Manage and maintain production equipment and facilities. Team Leadership and Development: Lead and motivate a team of production employees. Provide training and development opportunities to improve skills and performance. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, sales, and procurement. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices. Specific Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies. Experience in production planning, scheduling, and control. Proficiency in inventory management and cost control. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyse data and identify trends. Knowledge of relevant quality management systems (e.g., ISO ). Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
