About the Role:

We're looking for a skilled Risk Manager to join our team at SuperProfile. As the leader of our Risk Management function, you'll play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across our payments and transaction ecosystems. Your expertise will help us ensure secure, scalable, and compliant experiences for our users.

Responsibilities:

1. Risk Analysis & Monitoring

  - Analyze payment transaction data to identify potential risk patterns and anomalies.

  - Develop and maintain risk models to detect suspicious activity.

  - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk mitigation strategies from onboarding to activation to offboarding a seller on the platform.

2. Payments & Transaction Risk (CORE FOCUS)

- Monitor and report on payment transaction risks across UPI, cards, wallets, and merchant flows.

- Strengthen onboarding controls (KYC/KYB, merchant underwriting, synthetic ID detection).

- Implement advanced transaction monitoring: rules engines, velocity limits, device fingerprinting, behavioural analytics, anomaly detection.

- Oversee disputes, chargebacks, and merchant fraud, driving root-cause fixes and recovery strategies.

- Balance secure yet frictionless journeys for customers and merchants.

- Identify and assess potential risks, including operational, and regulatory risks.

- Develop and implement controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.

3. Fraud Risk Management

  - Assist in leading fraud risk management efforts across consumer and merchant channels.

  - Collaborate with teams to implement fraud prevention measures aligned with global best practices.

4. Risk Reporting & Insights

  - Develop and maintain risk dashboards and reports to provide insights to senior management.

  - Identify and communicate emerging risks and trends to stakeholders.

5. Compliance & Regulatory

  - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including Government Directions and data protection laws.

  - Collaborate with teams to implement regulatory requirements and maintain audit readiness.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3-4 years of experience in risk management, payments, or a related field, with experience working with payment gateways, marketplaces, or creator economy platforms a plus.
• Skills:

  - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  - Experience with risk management frameworks and tools.

  - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice to Have:

- Experience with payment gateways, creator economy platforms, or fintech companies.

- Knowledge of machine learning-based risk models and data analytics tools.

- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
