Role Overview
The Head Legal will lead and manage all legal affairs of Ridhira Group, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, mitigating legal risks, and supporting the companys strategic objectives across real estate, construction, hospitality, and allied verticals.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in real estate laws, property documentation, due diligence, land acquisition, RERA compliance, and corporate legal advisory.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Strategy & Governance:
- Formulate and implement legal strategies aligned with business goals.
- Advise the management on legal risks, business implications, and compliance requirements.
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure strong corporate governance.
Real Estate Transactions & Property Documentation
- Oversee all legal aspects of land acquisition, title due diligence, and property transactions.
- Draft, vet, and finalize agreements such as Sale Deeds, Development Agreements, Joint Ventures, Lease Deeds, and MoUs.
- Liaise with government authorities for property registration, conversion, and approvals.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with RERA, Stamp Act, Registration Act, Transfer of Property Act, Companies Act, and other applicable laws.
- Handle liaisoning with statutory bodies and maintain updated knowledge of real estate regulatory changes.
- Manage legal audits and compliance certifications.
Litigation Management
- Represent the company in courts, tribunals, and arbitration proceedings.
- Manage external legal counsels, review case progress, and provide litigation updates to management.
- Strategically resolve disputes related to land ownership, contracts, vendors, and customers.
Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for vendors, contractors, consultants, and partners.
- Implement contract lifecycle management and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
Corporate Legal Affairs
- Advise on corporate restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Ensure legal due diligence in project funding, investor agreements, and business partnerships.
- Support internal departments (Procurement, Projects, Finance, HR) on legal matters.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualification: LLB / LLM from a reputed institution.Experience: Minimum 15+ years of post-qualification experience in real estate and infrastructure companies.
- Strong understanding of land laws, RERA compliance, title verification, and property documentation.
- Proven experience in litigation management, contract drafting, and due diligence.
- Exposure to corporate legal advisory and investor documentation preferred.
