Research Analyst (Indian Sugar Market)

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with MEIR’s London-based global brokerage team, focusing on the Indian sugar market. The Research Analyst will be responsible for analyzing supply–demand fundamentals, monitoring industry developments and producing high-quality research reports to support traders and clients across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and prepare analytical reports on the Indian sugar industry.
• Track and evaluate production, consumption, trade flows and government policy changes impacting the market.
• Collaborate with the global research team to provide timely insights and market intelligence.
• Draft clear, concise and data-backed reports and presentations.
• Monitor industry news, regulatory updates and global developments that influence sugar trade.

Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience (

  minimum 2 years

  ) in commodity or sugar market research will be a strong

  plus

  freshers with the right academic background and interest are welcome to apply

• Solid understanding (or eagerness to learn) of sugar/agri-commodity fundamentals.
• Excellent analytical, writing and report drafting skills.

  Economics, Business, Agriculture, or a related field

• Strong Excel/analytical skills; familiarity with data tools will be an advantage.
