Research Analyst

As a Research Analyst at Barclays, you will join the sector research team and work closely with a senior analyst. Your role involves gathering, tracking, and analyzing relevant data to support Barclays Research in providing advice to clients for their investment decisions. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the team in managing stocks under coverage to produce meaningful research for clients - Create and update models/spreadsheets for valuation and research forecasts - Gather sector-relevant data and help build thought processes around specific themes - Compile historical data for forecasting purposes - Update and maintain databases, conduct adhoc analysis, monitor market news, and summarize its impact on the sector Qualifications Required: - Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial terms - Proficiency in building financial models using MS Excel - Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a time-sensitive environment - Experience in preparing research reports and industry primers - Proficiency in stakeholder management and leadership - Knowledge of the banking sector and valuation methods This role may require mandatory regulatory qualifications and will be based in Mumbai.
