Research Analyst (Indian Sugar Market) Job Description This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with MEIR’s London-based global brokerage team, focusing on the Indian sugar market. The Research Analyst will be responsible for analyzing supply–demand fundamentals, monitoring industry developments and producing high-quality research reports to support traders and clients across global markets. Key Responsibilities Research and prepare analytical reports on the Indian sugar industry. Track and evaluate production, consumption, trade flows and government policy changes impacting the market. Collaborate with the global research team to provide timely insights and market intelligence. Draft clear, concise and data-backed reports and presentations. Monitor industry news, regulatory updates and global developments that influence sugar trade. Skills & Qualifications Prior experience ( minimum 2 years ) in commodity or sugar market research will be a strong plus , but freshers with the right academic background and interest are welcome to apply . Solid understanding (or eagerness to learn) of sugar/agri-commodity fundamentals. Excellent analytical, writing and report drafting skills. High proficiency in English (written and verbal) . Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Agriculture, or a related field . Strong Excel/analytical skills; familiarity with data tools will be an advantage.
