Overview

Red Rhino Craft Beer is seeking a driven and experienced Regional Sales Head – Off-Premise

to lead our retail sales operations across Bangalore and surrounding regions. This leadership 

role is responsible for driving growth in the off-trade channel including modern trade, liquor 

stores, and standalone retail outlets. The Sales Head will develop and execute strategies to 

expand market share, strengthen distributor partnerships, and ensure Red Rhino’s presence in 

key retail touchpoints.


The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the beverage industry with a proven ability 

to build and scale off-premise distribution, develop retailer relationships, and lead high performing teams. A passion for craft beer and deep understanding of the alcohol retail 

landscape is essential.


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Execution;

• Develop and implement off-premise sales strategies to achieve volume and revenue 

growth targets

• Identify and grow key accounts across modern trade, premium liquor stores, and 

organized retail chains

• Analyze category trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour to refine go-tomarket plans

• Work with the COO to set realistic but ambitious sales targets and market share goals

2. Team Leadership;

• Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to exceed targets across all off-premise 

segments

• Conduct regular performance reviews and establish clear accountability for sales goals

• Facilitate training sessions to improve the team’s negotiation, merchandising, and 

account management skills

• Foster a collaborative culture of ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement

• Accompany the team for key account meetings and trade visits to drive execution 

excellence

3. Account & Distributor Management;

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and 

modern trade chains

• Manage negotiations on margins, listings, visibility, and promotional programs with 

retail partners

• Work closely with distributors to ensure proper stock availability, order fulfilment, and 

retail execution

• Develop joint business plans with top accounts and distributors to achieve mutual 

growth objectives

4. Market Analysis, Performance Tracking & Reporting;

• Monitor sales performance by territory and channel; identify gaps and implement 

corrective actions

• Analyze sales data, pricing, and market insights to inform strategy and decision-making

• Provide regular updates to the COO, including forecasts, KPI tracking, and key 

learnings

• Stay abreast of category trends, regulatory changes, and consumer preferences to 

maintain competitiveness

5. Trade Marketing & Promotions;

• Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute impactful in-store 

activations, promotions, and visibility programs

• Oversee placement and performance of point-of-sale materials and display setups in 

retail outlets

• Coordinate product sampling and in-store tasting programs to increase consumer 

engagement and brand awareness.

• Participate in trade shows, retail events, and industry forums to strengthen Red Rhino’s 

off-premise presence.

6. Supply Chain Coordination;

• Work closely with brewery, logistics, and distributor teams to ensure consistent product 

availability

• Monitor stock levels at distributor and retail points to prevent out-of-stock or overstock 

scenarios

• Provide accurate sales forecasting to align production and distribution planning

7. Compliance & Governance;

• Ensure adherence to all state excise regulations and relevant legal requirements for offpremise alcohol sales

• Maintain documentation and reporting standards in line with company and government 

policies

• Train sales teams on compliance protocols and responsible trade practices

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 7+ years in sales, preferably in the off-premise channel within 

the alcoholic beverage, FMCG, or craft beer industry

• Leadership: Proven experience managing regional sales teams and driving strong sales 

growth in retail channels

• Trade Expertise: Deep understanding of off-trade structures, distributor management, 

and retail dynamics

• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to use data and insights to drive commercial decisions

• Negotiation & Relationship Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder 

management abilities

• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the craft beer category, consumer trends, and 

excise frameworks

• Passion: Genuine enthusiasm for craft beer and premium beverage culture
