Quality Manager

Job Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control related to railway electrification and transmission line products such as brackets, clamps, connectors and other OHE components. The role ensures compliance with RDSO standards, Indian Railways specifications, and quality standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14000 etc. The manager will lead the quality team and drive continuous improvement across the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

● Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO standards and RDSO guidelines.

● Establish and monitor quality control processes for raw materials, in-process production, and final inspection.

● Ensure strict compliance with RDSO specifications and Indian Railways technical requirements.

● Lead the supplier quality assurance process, assist in vendor audits, incoming material inspection, and quality evaluation.

● Coordinate with production, design, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues at the source.

● Liaise with Indian Railways, RDSO officials, and third-party inspectors during factory inspections and approvals.

Qualifications:

Educational:

● Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)

● Postgraduate Diploma in Quality Management or Industrial and Electrical Engineering/Metallurgist/ITI (Preferred)

Experience:

● 5-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control in engineering or heavy manufacturing.

● Practical experience in RDSO inspections, railway tenders, and related customer requirements. (preferred)

● Hands-on experience with fabrication, casting, machining, and galvanizing quality control.

· Strong understanding of quality standards and regulatory compliance in the railway sector.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams and railway authorities

Excellent documentation, audit, and reporting skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
