Quality Manager

Company Description

Kryon Technology Pvt. Ltd. (iLabs Group) is building a next-generation high-volume PCBA manufacturing ecosystem, producing AC controllers, BLDC controllers, routers, STBs and embedded IoT boards. We operate a modern SMT + testing facility in Sri City and work closely with global design and component partners. We are scaling aggressively and building a world-class quality system to support multi-customer, multi-product electronics manufacturing.

Role Description:

The Quality Manager will lead the entire PCBA quality function including IQC, in-process SMT quality, outgoing inspection, QMS documentation, supplier quality, regulatory compliance, CAPA, audits and QA team leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

CORE PROCESS DEFINITION

• Develop and document SMT inspection SOPs (Paste, Pick & Place, Reflow, AOI/AXI).

• Establish AOI/AXI defect library.

• Define incoming inspection standards for PCBs and SMD components.

QUALITY CONTROL & EXECUTION

• Perform first-piece inspection and floor audits.

• Manage NCM process (segregation, disposition).

• Conduct cross-sectioning, micro-sectioning or functional testing.

DOCUMENTATION & COMPLIANCE

• Maintain quality records, calibration logs and defect analysis reports.

• Support QMS documentation (ISO 9001 prep).

VALIDATION & IMPROVEMENT

• Lead IQ/OQ/PQ for SMT equipment.

• Improve FPY and reduce COPQ.

• Implement CAPA for recurring defects.

SUPPLIER QUALITY

• Manage AVL audits.

• Run supplier PPAP/quality audits.

• Drive supplier 8D closure.

REPORTING & MENTORSHIP

• Report KPIs: DPMO, FPY, MTBF.

• Mentor QA engineers and operators.

QUALITY SYSTEM STRATEGY

• Implement company-wide QMS to reach ISO 9001.

• Budgeting for QA department and quality equipment.

REGULATORY & CUSTOMER COMPLIANCE

• Lead external audits, customer audits.

• Ensure compliance with IPC, IATF 16949, ISO 13485 (as applicable).

DEPARTMENTAL LEADERSHIP

• Hire, train and manage QA team.

• Present quality performance and risk assessments.

REQUIREMENTS

• IPC-A-610, SPI, reflow profiling knowledge.

• RCA tools: 5 Why, Fishbone.

• SMT defect knowledge: tombstoning, bridging, cold joints.

• SPC, document control systems.

• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

• Supplier audit & PPAP experience.

• ISO 9001 implementation experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• B.Tech/Diploma in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical.

• 5+ years QA experience in PCB/SMT.
