Quality Management Representative

Role Purpose: The Management Representative (MR) is the organization’s control for AS9100 Quality Management System compliance, responsible for establishing, maintaining, monitoring, and continuously improving the aerospace QMS. This role ensures full OEM, regulatory, and certification body compliance for precision machining of aircraft structural and engine components and acts as the primary interface between top management, customers, and regulatory authorities for quality and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AS9100 QMS Ownership & Governance - Establish, implement, and maintain AS9100D QMS across machining, inspection, assembly, stores, outsourcing & dispatch. - Ensure deployment of risk-based thinking, product safety, human factors, and configuration management. - Maintain Quality Manual, SOPs, work instructions, and process KPIs.

2. Customer, Regulatory & Certification Interface - Act as the official interface with certification bodies, OEMs, and regulatory authorities. - Lead AS9100 certification, surveillance, and customer audits.

3. Management Reviews & Strategic Quality Planning - Plan and conduct Management Review Meetings. - Track quality objectives, business risks, customer performance, and system effectiveness.

4. Risk Management, Change Management & Product Safety - Own the risk register, change management process (ECN/PCN), and business continuity planning. - Ensure controlled implementation of new programs, machines, and suppliers.

5. Internal Audits & Compliance Control

- Establish internal audit programs. - Qualify internal auditors. - Ensure timely NCR, corrective, and preventive action closure.

6. Customer Complaints, NCR, SCAR & Escapes - Govern NCRs, SCARs, 8D investigations, and customer complaint closures. - Ensure permanent corrective actions and horizontal deployment.

7. Supplier Quality & External Process Control - Oversee supplier compliance, special process outsourcing, and NADCAP vendor alignment. - Ensure material and process traceability with mill certification compliance.

8. Digital QMS & Documentation Control - Implement Digital QMS, document control systems, and electronic traceability. - Ensure cybersecurity and data integrity compliance.

9. Training, Competency & Cultural Deployment - Develop competency framework for machinists, inspectors, and engineers. - Drive AS9100 awareness, product safety, and human factors training.

10. Continuous Improvement & Business Excellence - Lead Lean, Six Sigma, PPM reduction, and COPQ reduction programs.
