Position Overview

The Quality Manager will lead the maintenance and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with AS9120/AS9100 standards. This position oversees supplier quality performance, inspection activities, documentation control, and customer quality coordination, ensuring full compliance with aerospace industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Maintain and enhance the QMS in line with AS9120, AS9100, ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Lead internal/external audits and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Oversee document control, quality procedures, and retention requirements.

Inspection & Product Quality

  • Manage incoming inspection for aerospace hardware, electrical connectors, and inventory solution kits.
  • Develop and maintain inspection plans, sampling methodologies, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure full traceability and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

First Article Inspection (FAI) – AS9102

  • Ensure supplier-provided FAIs comply with AS9102 requirements, including form accuracy, dimensional reports, material/COC verification, and ballooned drawings.
  • Review and approve supplier FAI packages before accepting parts into inventory.
  • Prepare, compile, and submit complete AS9102-compliant FAI packages to customers, including Forms 1, 2, and 3, supporting documents, and evidence of conformity.
  • Maintain FAI records and ensure FAI status visibility across operations and supply chain teams.

Supplier Quality & Compliance

  • Evaluate, qualify, and monitor suppliers based on quality performance and risk assessments.
  • Conduct supplier audits and manage supplier CAPA activities.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable aerospace compliance standards.

Customer Support & Issue Resolution

  • Manage customer complaints, NCRs, and RMA processes.
  • Lead root cause analysis using tools like 5-Why, 8D, Ishikawa, etc.
  • Support customer audits and maintain strong communication with customer quality teams.

Inventory Control & Process Compliance

  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and traceability of aerospace components.
  • Monitor quality controls for kitting, packaging, labeling, and material flow.
  • Collaborate with operations to implement process improvements and minimize risk of non-conformance.

Training & Leadership

  • Train internal teams on quality processes, AS9120 requirements, inspection techniques, and FAI standards.
  • Lead and mentor the QA/QC team to strengthen technical capability and quality culture.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field.
  • 8–10+ years of aerospace quality, distribution, or manufacturing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9120 or AS9100 standards.
  • Hands-on experience in AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) preparation and review.
  • Proficient in inspection tools, MSAs, CAPA, and documentation management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AS9100/AS9120 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Experience with ERP/QMS or digital inspection systems.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
