About Tirupati Industries (Part of Enduring Industries)
Tirupati Industries — part of Enduring Industries — is a 25+ year trusted supplier to SML Mahindra, JCBL, and MSL, specializing in metal components manufacturing, bus body fabrication, and precision metal fabrication. With 3 factories in the HSIIDC Industrial Estate, Panchkula (Extension-2) spanning 18,000 sq. ft, we operate state-of-the-art cutting, bending, and press machinery with a 25+ member team and manufacture 100+ components with consistent quality and on-time dispatch.
Responsibilities
Own end-to-end ISO 9001 implementation with the consultant and convert requirements into practical shop-floor systems.
Create, maintain, and control quality manuals, SOPs, work instructions, inspection formats, and records for all key processes.
Establish incoming, in-process, and final inspection standards for sheet metal parts, weldments, brackets, and bus structures.
Deploy line and patrol inspections with clear sampling plans, checkpoints, and acceptance criteria as per OEM/customer requirements.
Lead root-cause analysis for rejections, rework, and customer complaints (5-Why, basic fishbone); drive corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare and maintain basic PPAP/APQP documentation (process flow, control plan, inspection reports, MTCs, traceability, etc.) for new parts.
Coordinate and support customer, OEM, and certification audits; track and close non-conformities with evidence.
Own calibration and control of measuring instruments, gauges, and fixtures; maintain calibration plans and status records.
Train operators and supervisors on drawings, gauges, weld/fitment standards, defect identification, and documentation discipline.
Implement and sustain visual controls, hold/OK identification, FIFO (where applicable), and 5S in QC, welding, and dispatch areas.
Monitor and report key quality KPIs (rejection %, rework %, customer complaints, first-pass yield); initiate improvement projects.
Work closely with PPC, Production, and Dispatch to ensure only OK material moves ahead and prevent wrong-part or defect dispatches.
Must-Have SkillsStrong ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings (dimensions, tolerances, weld symbols, GD&T basics).
Hands-on understanding of fabrication processes: cutting, punching, bending, welding, grinding, surface prep, and paint/finish checks.
Practical exposure to ISO 9001 quality systems, internal audits, NC closure, document and record control.
Experience creating and using inspection reports, checklists, control plans, and traceability formats.
Familiarity with basic quality tools (5-Why, Pareto, check sheets, control of non-conforming product).
Proficiency in Excel/Sheets for inspection logs, rejection analysis, and action trackers.
Comfort using ERP/Zoho/Tally or similar systems for GRN, QA hold/release, and basic traceability (preferred).
Strong shop-floor presence, follow-through, and ability to work closely with operators, welders, and supervisors.
Experience & Education
Diploma/BE in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or related discipline.
1–3 years of experience in quality within fabrication, sheet-metal components, bus body, or automotive/ancillary manufacturing.
Exposure to OEM requirements, audits, and vendor development processes is an added advantage.
