Job
Description
Tirupati Industries — part of Enduring Industries — is a 25+ year trusted supplier to SML Mahindra, JCBL, and MSL, specializing in metal components manufacturing, bus body fabrication, and precision metal fabrication. With 3 factories in the HSIIDC Industrial Estate, Panchkula (Extension-2) spanning 18,000 sq. ft, we operate state-of-the-art cutting, bending, and press machinery with a 25+ member team and manufacture 100+ components with consistent quality and on-time dispatch.
Location: Alipur–Barwala (Panchkula)
Type: 6 days a week, Full-time, On-site
Reporting to: CEO
Responsibilities
Build and run the Master Production Schedule (MPS) from confirmed POs/forecasts; convert to daily and weekly plans for cutting, press, bending, welding, paint/finish, and dispatch.
Create finite-capacity plans per machine/cell (tonnage, bed size, die availability); level load to minimize changeovers and idle time.
Generate and release work orders, BOM pick lists, and routing travelers; ensure clear hand-off to production, QA, stores, and dispatch.
Plan material requirements (MRP) and safety stocks for sheets, tubes, coils, and consumables; trigger PRs/indent notes in sync with lead times.
Prepare and control daily nesting/cut plans and kit lists; align with actual material widths/thickness to improve yield and reduce remnant scrap.
Track WIP by operation; run hourly board updates, remove bottlenecks, and escalate shortages, rework, or machine breakdowns promptly.
Chair/drive the 9:30 AM production huddle (yesterday’s output vs plan, today’s constraints, truck dispatch readiness) and publish an end-of-day PPC report.
Coordinate tooling/die readiness and preventive-maintenance windows with maintenance; ensure dies are issued/returned with status updated.
Sequence jobs to meet dispatch plans (e.g., S7/FOH/LX sets) and truck utilization; ensure packing lists and documentation are ready on time.
Monitor OEE, changeover time, yield %, on-time completion %, and plan adherence; run root-cause and corrective actions for misses.
Maintain clean and accurate BOMs, routings, and time standards; validate through time studies and update cycle times after improvements.
Support PPAP gates by ensuring planned runs, first-off timing, capacity proof, and traceable travelers for new/ECN parts.
Implement visual controls (kanban, FIFO lanes, color-coded racks, line-side min/max) and 5S in WIP and FG areas.
Interface tightly with Sales/Customer Service (commit dates), Purchase (materials), QA (inspection plans), Finance (job closures), and Logistics (truck planning).
Must-Have SkillsStrong Excel/Sheets (pivot, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, conditional formatting; basic Gantt/capacity calculators).
Working knowledge of BOMs, routings, takt/cycle time, capacity planning, and MRP basics.
Ability to read 2D drawings and understand part families, gauges, bend allowance, and process sequences.
Familiarity with press, shearing, bending, welding, surface prep/paint operations and typical changeover constraints.
Hands-on with ERP/Zoho/Tally for work orders, BOM/routing, issues/returns, and job costing (preferred).
Strong shop-floor coordination, follow-through, and data discipline.
Experience & Education
Diploma/BE (Mechanical/Production/Industrial).
2–5 years in PPC/Industrial Engineering within fabrication, bus body, or auto components manufacturing (OEM/vendor-development exposure is a plus).
