QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Quality Ownership & Execution

Own the entire testing lifecycle for assigned projects, from requirement analysis to final sign-off.
Design, document, and execute comprehensive manual test cases covering functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and UAT scenarios.
Ensure high-quality releases by identifying risks early and enforcing quality gates.

Automation & Technical Excellence

Develop, maintain, and enhance automation test frameworks and scripts to maximize test coverage and reduce manual effort.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
Perform API testing and validate backend services for accuracy, performance, and reliability.

Collaboration & Influence

Actively participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure testability and quality alignment.
Work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product teams to resolve issues efficiently.
Provide clear, actionable quality insights to stakeholders and leadership.

Leadership & Process Improvement

Mentor and guide junior QA team members, reviewing test cases and automation scripts.
Drive process improvements, testing standards, and best practices across projects.
Take initiative in defining test strategies, quality metrics, and reporting mechanisms.

Required Skills & Experience

2.5+ years of hands-on experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Proven experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
Hands-on experience in API testing using tools like Postman or equivalent.
Strong defect management skills using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
Solid understanding of web and application architectures.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ownership mindset and leadership capability, even without a formal QA Lead title.
