POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our growing IT team. This role will focus on developing, maintaining, and improving software solutions that support our highly automated cold storage facilities and logistics operations. You will be instrumental in building and integrating systems that optimize warehouse processes, enhance data analysis, and drive efficiency across our supply chain. This position requires proficiency in Python and experience with code migration, alongside a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

YOUR ROLE

As a Python Developer at NewCold, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our automated warehouses. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the software that powers critical logistics functions, contributing directly to our ability to deliver reliable and sustainable cold chain solutions to our customers. Your work will directly impact the performance of our warehouse management systems and the accuracy of our data-driven decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain Web-based applications and APIs to integrate with existing management systems and data platforms.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code, adhering to established coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and Design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to build data pipelines and analytical tools for optimizing warehouse operations and predicting future needs.
• Perform code migration tasks, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to existing systems, utilizing skills in both Python and C#.
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues, providing timely and effective solutions to maintain system stability.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Work closely with operations and engineering teams to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for version control, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with other team members

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of professional experience as a Python Developer.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming language and related frameworks (e.g. Django, Flask).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and SQL query writing.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.
• Proficiency in C# is highly desirable.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD is required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
